Welcome to the XBMODZ Modding Help Series. In this guide, we’ll cover how to properly load mods from your dashboard using DashLaunch, and why it’s critical to be on the latest version.

⚡ Step 1: Check Your DashLaunch Version
âś… Download and install v3.21 before continuing.

📝 What You’ll Need
- A JTAG/RGH Xbox 360
- DashLaunch v3.21 (latest version, required for kernel 17559)
- A mod plugin (e.g.,
.xex
or
.xpp
)
- XEXMenu, Aurora, or file manager access
⚡ Step 1: Check Your DashLaunch Version
- Boot into your homebrew dashboard.
- Launch DashLaunch.
- Look in the top bar — confirm it says v3.21.
âś… Download and install v3.21 before continuing.
⚡ Step 2: Add Your Mod Plugin
- In DashLaunch, navigate to Plugins.
- Select an empty slot (Slot 1–5).
- Point it to your mod plugin file (
HDD:\Plugins\example.xex
).
⚡ Step 3: Save Your
launch.ini
- Press RB to move to the Paths/Save/Load menu.
- Highlight HDD and press X to save.
- Confirm that
launch.ini
has been written to your hard drive.
⚡ Step 4: Reboot and Test
- Restart your Xbox.
- Load the game associated with your plugin.
- If the plugin matches the correct Title Update (TU), your mods should now be active.
